Thesis Subject

My thesis subject is Query Processing for Sensor/Actor Networks. My thesis topic corresponds to field of research C / subproject C3 of the PhD graduate school METRIK.


Evaluation of Paradigms (08/2006 - today)

Research efforts on wireless sensor networks have grown significantly. Yet to date the community lacks consensus on which paradigm is best employed for tasks such as data gathering, event detection et cetera. So one of my first steps will be evaluating the suitability of paradigms for wireless sensor networks (WSN) in terms for disaster management: agent-based vs. network as a database vs. macroprogramming.
